Telenor Group Announces Jukka Leinonen Will be as Head of its Nordic Cluster Full-Time

Telenor ASA announced that effective from 11 October 2021, Tolvanen will head Telenor Group’s Finnish subsidiary DNA. The company’s current CEO, Jukka Leinonen, will take on the role as Head of Telenor Group’s Nordic Cluster full-time. Leinonen continues his role in Telenor Group’s Executive Management. As announced earlier this year, Jukka Leinonen will continue in his role as EVP and member of the Telenor Group Executive Management, as well as being Chair of the boards of Telenor Sweden, Telenor Denmark, and Telenor Connexion. He will also head Telenor Group’s Nordic Cluster full-time and take on the position as Chair of DNA’s Board once Tolvanen takes the helm as CEO of DNA.
Telenor ASA is the No. 1 telecommunications group in Norway. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- mobile telecommunications services (79.8%): mobile telephone communications, voice and data transmission, Internet access, messaging, sale of telecommunications equipment, etc.;
- fixed-line telecommunications services (18%): fixed-line telephone communications, data transmission, TV channel broadcasting, etc.;
- other (2.2%): offshore telecommunications, interconnection between operators, etc.
Net sales are geographically distributed as follows: Norway (26.1%), Thailand (22.3%), Bangladesh (15.6%), Sweden (12.9%), Finland (10%), Denmark (5.6%), Pakistan (4.9%) and other (2.6%).
