On May 20, Goldman Sachs Group declared to the AMF that it had exceeded the thresholds of 5% of Alstom's capital and voting rights, and held, through the companies it controlled, 5.68% of the capital and voting rights of the rail equipment manufacturer.

The American investment bank points out that this threshold crossing is the result of an off-market acquisition of shares, as a result of which the trading exemption no longer applies to the declarant.
