Orange announces the landing in Marseille of the 21,700 km SEA-ME-WE 6 (Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 6) system, which will link France directly to Singapore.

The laying of the first part of the system, 3,000 km long, to Egypt, will start in the wake of this operation in Marseilles.

This cable will meet the growing needs of customers and the digital economy on this strategic route. The new system will offer a capacity of more than 130Tb/s.

Orange is responsible for the "landing party" on French territory, and will host the cable in Marseille in its secure infrastructure, providing neutral access to all the city's data centers via a state-of-the-art urban fiber optic ring.
