(Alliance News) - Nocivelli ABP Spa announced Thursday the execution of some lots of a previously awarded EUR18 million tender for the modernization and safety of the Gavardo Hospital in the province of Brescia.

The company had been awarded the tender lots, participating in an RTI with Pavoni Spa, in June 2023.

The works under Nocivelli ABP's responsibility for the Gavardo Hospital fall within the scope of PNRR projects under Mission 6. As part of this tender, Azienda Socio-Sanitaria Territoriale Garda has activated several purchase orders totaling EUR52 million, EUR18 million of which Nocivelli ABP is responsible for.

The works, which will last for two years with an expiration date of June 2026, involve renovations with a view to earthquake and fire prevention and toward energy efficiency of all six hospital buildings. These will be complemented by works to improve the aesthetics and viability of the hospital, which has now been active in the area for more than 90 years.

Nicola Turra, CEO of Nocivelli ABP, said, "The start of the works confirms once again our role in supporting the country's infrastructure. Thanks to our know-how, we are intervening in the great challenge that Italy is facing, which is to appropriately use PNRR resources to improve Italy's public real estate assets, with projects focused mainly on energy efficiency and improving the environmental impact of the country's healthcare infrastructure, serving citizens."

Bruno Nocivelli, president of the company, added, "We are happy with the collaboration with Pavoni. The union between the companies is essential to maximize efforts to strengthen the national healthcare infrastructure and improve the competitiveness of Italy's real estate assets, especially in hospital and healthcare services."

Nocivelli ABP stock is unchanged at EUR4.04 per share.
