(Alliance News) - European financial markets opened higher Tuesday as trading rooms turned their attention to developments in the Middle East situation.

Ten days after the unprecedented attack launched by Hamas, Israel's bombardment of the Gaza Strip continues. So far more than 2,000 Palestinian deaths and 1,400 Israeli deaths. In recent hours, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced the upcoming visit of Joe Biden. The US president is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

FTSE Mib, thus, advances 0.4 percent to 28,505.02. Mid-Cap is advancing 0.3 percent to 38,961.22, Small-Cap is up 0.4 percent to 25,255.71, and Italy Growth is down 0.1 percent to 7,934.88.

In Europe, London's FTSE 100 is advancing 0.3 percent, while Paris' CAC 40 is up 0.1 percent, as is Frankfurt's DAX 40.

On the main list in Piazza Affari, good start for Banco BPM, which is advancing 1.2 percent, reflecting the good start in the credit segment.

In fact, BPER Banca, up 1.1 percent, and Banca Monte dei Paschi, which is up 1.0 percent, are also up.

Italgas, on the other hand, rises 0.8 percent. The company announced Monday that it had completed the acquisition from Veolia Environnement SA Group of the business unit to which the concessions held in Italy in the water sector belong. For the purchase, the company will be able to pay the Veolia group a total of up to EUR115 million-in terms of equity value-subject in part to the achievement of certain targets of the operating companies.

Prysmian- up 1.1 percent- continues bullish, on the heels of the eve's close with a plus 2.0 percent.

Among the few bearish is Amplifon, which gives up 0.6% after three sessions ended among the bullish.

Among midcaps, good boost on Intercos, which goes up 2.3 percent with new price at EUR12.64 per share, after eve's decline with 1.0 percent.

Webuild, on the other hand, advances 2.1 percent on the heels of the1.7 percent green with which it closed on eve.

Salvatore Ferragamo - up 0.2% - reported that it has been admitted to the collaborative compliance regime.

Iren is in the green by 0.4 percent after announcing Wednesday that it has finalized the acquisition of control of Semia Green, a company active in the circular economy, through its subsidiary Iren Ambiente Toscana. The remainder of the share capital is held by Sienambiente, already a shareholder of Semia Green and in which the Iren group has a 40 percent stake.

On a negative note, list close for LU-VE, which marks a minus 3.8 percent, positioning its snout toward its third bearish session.

On the Small-Cap, Itway is giving up 2.5 percent, after reporting Monday that it has signed a strategic partnership with One Identity in identity governance. The Itway group expects revenues of about EUR4 million in the next two years by operating in the banking and insurance, healthcare, energy, education and public administration sectors.

Cellularline, on the other hand, is retreating 2.6 percent to EUR2.26 per share, continuing its bearish streak.

Among SMEs, Almawave is advancing 3 percent after announcing Monday that Davide Diotallevi has taken over as the group's chief financial officer and investor relations manager.

Casta Diva, on the other hand, advances 7.2 percent, bringing its price to EUR1.26 per share.

Impianti in the rear, on the other hand, gives up 5.3 percent, with new price at EUR0.54 per share, continuing its long bearish trend.

Jonix - flat at EUR0.58 - proceeds toward its fifth session in a bearish trend. The company reported Friday that it closed the first nine months with revenues of EUR960,000, down from EUR2.0 million in the same period last year. Revenues from abroad amounted to EUR300,000 from EUR530,000, and revenues from Italy dropped to EUR660,000 from EUR1.5 million.

In New York on European night, the Dow rallied 0.9 percent, the Nasdaq closed up 1.2 percent, and the S&P 500 advanced 1.1 percent.

Among currencies, the euro changed hands at USD1.0547 against USD1.0549 recorded in Monday's European stock close, while the pound was worth USD1.2191 from USD1.2195 on Monday night.

Among commodities, Brent crude is worth USD89.86 per barrel from USD90.26 per barrel at Monday's close. Gold, meanwhile, trades at USD1,920.45 an ounce from USD1,934.75 an ounce on Monday evening.

On Tuesday's macroeconomic calendar, at 1100 CEST from both Germany and the Eurozone comes the ZEW index of German economic conditions and confidence sentiment in Europe.

At 1200 CEST the ECOFIN meeting starts.

Overseas, at 1430 CEST comes US retail sales data for September. At the same time from Canada comes inflation.

Still from the U.S., at 1515 CEST data on industrial and manufacturing production for September are released.

No particular announcements are expected among companies listed on the Stock Exchange.
