(Alliance News) - Piazza Affari is expected to open Tuesday's session down, according to indications from futures before the bell rings.

Futures give the FTSE Mib down 120.0 points or 0.4 percent after closing 1.4 percent in the red at 27,849.65 points Monday evening.

In Europe, London's FTSE 100 is given down 15.3 points or 0.2 percent, Paris' CAC 40 is shown in the red by 44.2 points or 0.6 percent, and Frankfurt's DAX 40 is expected to fall 89.7 points or 0.6 percent.

Among the smaller lists on the Piazza Affari, the Mid-Cap gave up 0.6 percent to 39,443.06, the Small-Cap closed down 0.2 percent to 25,738.07 while the Italy Growth was up 0.2 percent to 8,339.93.

On the main list of the Italian Stock Exchange, Banca Monte dei Paschi did best of all, rising 1.6 percent. Of note, Marshall Wace raised its short position on the stock to 0.6% from 0.5% previously.

Ferrari, on the other hand, rose 1.1% to EUR282.80, in its fourth bullish session in a row.

Saipem, on the other hand, gave up 3.7%, with new price at EUR1.39, on the heels of Friday's red 1.5%.

Down went Eni, down 2.3%, despite announcing a major gas discovery made from the Geng North-1 well drilled in the North Ganal license, about 85 km off the east coast of Kalimantan, Indonesia. Preliminary estimates indicate total volumes of 5 trillion cubic feet of gas-equivalent to about 140 billion cubic meters-with condensate content up to about 400 million barrels. The data acquired will allow the study of options for accelerated development.

Also down was Tenaris, which gave up 3.4 percent on the heels of the 1.8 percent red of the previous session.

On the Mid-Cap, good session for Tinexta, up 6.6 percent to EUR16.51 per share closing for the fourth session in a row on the bullish side.

Tamburi also rose, closing up 2.9% on the heels of Friday night's gain of 1.3%.

Brunello Cucinelli gave up 3.5 percent to EUR69.50. On the stock, Goldman Sachs gave a 'buy' rating with a target price of EUR87.00.

Saras, on the other hand, left 4.5 percent on the parterre after a 2.2 percent rise on Friday evening.

Maire Tecnimont - in the red by 2.8 percent - reported that the public offering of the Senior Unsecured Sustainability-Linked Notes Due October 5, 2028 launched on September 26 was closed early, thanks to strong demand from institutional and retail investors that allowed the maximum amount of EUR200 million to be reached on the third day. Under the offering, bonds totaling EUR200 million were subscribed at an issue price of 100 percent of their par value, represented by 200,000 bonds with a par value of EUR1,000 each.

On the Small-Cap, Olidata brought home a 12 percent gain, placing the price bar at EUR0.8150, following Friday night's 5.8 percent gain.

Also doing well was KME Group, which posted a plus 4.5 percent, putting in a bullish hat trick.

Safilo Group, on the other hand, gave up 1.4 percent. The company announced Friday that contracts have been signed for the sale of the Longarone plant's business units to sector companies Thélios and Innovatek. The closing of the transactions, subject to the fulfillment of conditions precedent, is scheduled for late October.

Seri Industrial closed down 6.1 percent, following the previous session's 3.8 percent red.

Bioera, on the other hand, lost more than 12 percent. The company reported that it closed the first half with revenues of EUR0.0 million compared to EUR400,000 in the first half of 2022. The net result showed a loss of EUR1.6 million compared to a loss of EUR1.2 million in the first half of 2022; the net result was affected by a EUR900,000 charge from the valuation of the group's stake in Splendor Investments SA, which was put into liquidation after June 30 following the sale of the only asset it held.

Among SMEs, Health Italia took home a gain of 7.1 percent, priced at EUR1.67 per share, after Friday night's 4.3 percent red.

Good buys also on Casasold, which put in a plus 5.6% with new price at EUR0.94 per share.

At the tail end, IMD International Medical Devices, on the other hand, gave up more than 11%, in its fifth bearish session in a row.

Marked selling also on Ambromobiliare, which left over 7.3% on the parterre, ending its fifth session in a row on the bearish side.

Doxee -- down 1.9 percent -- reported that it closed the first half with a net loss of EUR3.2 million from net income of EUR300,000 in the same period last year. Revenues were EUR12.1 million, up from EUR11.1 million as of June 30, 2022. Infinica contributed EUR1.8 million to consolidated revenue generation.

In Asia, the Nikkei is down 1.7 percent to 31,225.61 and the Hang Seng is in the red 3.1 percent to 17,262.52 while Shanghai is still closed for a national holiday.

In New York, the Dow closed down 0.2 percent at 33,433.35, the Nasdaq rose 0.7 percent to 13,307.77 while the S&P 500 finished in a tie at 4,288.39.

Among currencies, the euro changed hands at USD1.0466 against USD1.0507 in Monday's European equities close while the pound was instead worth USD1.2065 from USD1.2139 on Monday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude is worth USD89.76 per barrel from USD90.93 per barrel at Monday's close. Gold, meanwhile, trades at USD1,818.90 an ounce from USD1,832.31 an ounce on Monday evening.

On Tuesday's macroeconomic calendar, Italy's trade balance is scheduled to be released at 1200 CEST.

From the US, at 1400 CEST, focus on FOMC member Bostic's speech while, at 1730 CEST, a 52-week Treasury bond auction is scheduled. Finally, at 2230 CEST, the weekly oil stocks data will be due.

On the corporate calendar for the Piazza Affari, no particular events are scheduled to take place.
