Spie announced on Thursday that it had been commissioned to design and provide the grid connection for a new photovoltaic power plant currently being developed by Ampyr Solar Europe in the Netherlands.

By 2025, this new high-voltage substation, currently under design, will supply renewable energy directly to the Dutch grid.

With its 200,000 solar panels, the photovoltaic park supported by the Singaporean group Ampyr will cover 45 hectares, the equivalent of 85 soccer pitches.

It should produce enough electricity each year to meet the needs of 28,500 households.
