BlackRock Investment Quality Municipal Trust, Inc. (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The Fundâs investment objective is to provide current income exempt from regular United States federal income tax consistent with the preservation of capital. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its assets in municipal obligations that pay interest that is exempt from United States federal income taxes (except that the interest may be subject to the United States federal alternative minimum tax). Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of its assets in securities rated investment grade at the time of investment. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its assets in unrated securities that are deemed by the investment adviser to be of comparable quality. The Fund invests in various sectors, such as health, education, transportation, state, and housing. The Fundâs investment advisor is BlackRock Advisors, LLC.
