ISELIN, NJ, January 22, 2013 -- BASF will introduce Mercury Sorbent HX™,a cost-effective mercury sorbent solution that helps electric companies preserve fly ash for sale to the concrete industry, at EUEC 2013, North America's largest energy, utility and environment conference, Jan. 28-30 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Electric utilities that operate coal-fired boilers need to meet regulatory requirements and contain costs. This means finding cost-effective solutions for controlling mercury emissions and preserving the quality of fly ash they sell to concrete manufacturers.
