Fondo Italiano per le Infrastrutture (F2i) is discussing the plans that bidders Telecom Italia S.p.A. (BIT:TIT) and Vodafone Group Public Limited Company (LSE:VOD) have for developing the fibre optic market in their bids to buy part of F2i's 53.8% stake in Metroweb S.p.A., daily Corriere della Sera reported. The talks with Telecom Italia and Vodafone are expected to be focused not only on the financial offers but also on business plans the two bidders have, the daily said. F2i wants to remain shareholder in Metroweb and hopes it can close a deal by the end of the first quarter, Corriere della Sera added.
