0917 GMT - Unilever is among the most mentioned companies across news items over the past three hours, according to Factiva data, after the Ben & Jerry's ice cream owner said that Chief Financial Officer Graeme Pitkethly will be retiring next year. The Anglo-Dutch multisector retailer--which also owns Dove soap, as well as Cif and Domestos cleaning products--said that Pitkethly will leave by the end of May next year and that it has started the search for a new CFO. RBC Capital Markets analysts James Edwardes Jones and Emma Letheren said that the news wasn't a surprise given that Chief Executive Alan Jope has also announced his plan to retire this year. Unilever's culture has been a concern for several years and a completely new management team is a good chance for a fresh start at the company, the analysts say in a research note. Shares are down 1.5% at 4,107.50 pence. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva. (ian.walker@wsj.com.)
