Production at three European Stellantis assembly plants will resume in early May after the automaker found alternative solutions for parts supply.

A company spokesman said this.

The sites, in France and Britain, have been shut down since early last week because of a strike by workers at contractor Ma France, a division of Italian group CLN, which specializes in stamped metal parts.

The French plant in Poissy will resume production on May 2, while those in Hordain, also in France, and Luton, Britain, will resume on May 7, the spokesman added.

The Hordain plant produces vans and minibuses for the Stellantis and Toyota brands.

"We have our own supply, we do our own molding, welding ... so we do it internally and we have our own system that allows us to supply these plants," the spokesman said in a phone call after the automaker released revenue and shipment figures for the first quarter of the year.

The spokesman did not provide further details.
