Royal Bank of Canada Taps Jacynthe Cote to Succeed Kathleen Taylor as Chairman

Royal Bank of Canada on Thursday said it has designated board member Jacynthe Cote to succeed Kathleen Taylor as chairman.

The Toronto banking giant said Ms. Taylor, who has been chairman since 2014, plans to retire from the board at the annual meeting of shareholders on April 5, 2023.

Royal Bank of Canada said Ms. Cote, an independent board member since 2014, will complete her current term as chairman of Hydro-Quebec in May as she assumes her new role at the bank.
