BERLIN (Reuters) - German defence group Rheinmetall's military vehicle division and Czech heavy-duty off-road bus maker Torsus have formed a strategic partnership to adapt the MAN TGE and Torsus Terrastorm models for special operations, they said on Tuesday.

Rheinmetall Military Vehicles (RMMV), a joint venture in which Rheinmetall holds 51% and MAN Truck & Bus has 49%, signed the agreement with Torsus at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris.

"This partnership allows us to leverage our combined expertise and deliver innovative vehicle solutions that keep pace with these evolving requirements" for special operations, said Torsus Chief Executive Vakhtang Dzhukashvili.

The models' versatile platforms offer various mission-specific modifications while adhering to strict size and weight limitations, according to Torsus.
