NEC Corporation announced the official opening of its Yangon and Naypyidaw offices in Myanmar. This plan includes communications infrastructure consisting of a high-speed, high-capacity core optical transmission network capable of transmitting 30Gbps between the cities of Yangon, Mandalay and Naypyidaw, as well as LTE communications to provide coverage between sites of the SEA Games 2013. The systems are expected to be completed by November 2013, followed by technical training and operation assistance.

The offices in Myanmar will be headed by Mr. Yasushi Teranishi, Global Business Unit, Greater China and Asia Pacific Division.
