Jameson Resources Limited provide an update on progress that has been made in relation to ongoing indigenous engagement for the Crown Mountain Hard Coking Coal Project. The lands are part of the shared territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Kainai (Blood), Piikani and Siksika; Ktunaxa; Secwepemc (Shuswap); Stoney Nakoda: Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley; Tsuut'ina Nation; and, M?tis citizens. In development of the Project, Jameson is seeking deep engagement with those First Nations and M?tis nations in relation to ensuring the project is designed and developed to minimise impacts on those nations' interests and identify opportunities for long term partnerships in the development, operation and reclamation of the project. Since finalisation of the AIR and the EIS Guidelines, ongoing consultation has been undertaken with those First Nations and M?tis groups. As previously noted, the engagement has been extended due to impact of Covid-19 but despite these challenges substantial progress has been made including the establishment of formal engagement agreements.
