On January 12, 2021, Exponent received the 2020 Center of Excellence (COE) designation from the Secure Technology Alliance. This program recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions of time, talent, and resources in the form of organization-wide leadership across a wide variety of Secure Technology Alliance activities in 2020. Significant contributions were made particularly by Christopher Williams, Ph.D., CISSP, Exponent Manager, who helped lead and provide input to seminars and a white-paper publication about mobile-derived credentials.
Exponent personnel continue to be heavily committed to the vision of the Secure Technology Alliance, with four primary members who remain active participants and contributors. In addition to Dr. Williams, these include Brad McGoran, P.E., CSCIP, CSCIP/G, GIAC, ACE-M, Exponent principal engineer, John Fessler, Ph.D., P.E., Exponent principal engineer, and Sarah Conron, Ph.D., CSCIP/G, Exponent senior managing scientist. Mr. McGoran and Dr. Fessler were among the first members in the industry to obtain the Alliance's CSCIP certification for smart card industry professionals.
