ENGIE and Safran, through their Corporate Venture Capital arms, jointly invested in Ineratec, a German based start-up specialized in carbon neutral synthetic fuels.

The startup offers a modular and scalable technology which combines green hydrogen from renewable electricity and captured CO2 from biogas or industrial plants to produce carbon-neutral fuels such as e-methane, e-diesel, or e-kerosene.

ENGIE New Ventures' investment will drive the decarbonization of heavy transport industry (maritime, railway and aviation) while contributing to the group green hydrogen and CO2 reduction objectives.
