CHANGE OF SUPERVISOR

RESIGNATION OF SUPERVISOR

The board of directors (the "Board") of BYD Company Limited (the "Company", together with subsidiaries of the Company, the "Group") hereby announces that Mr. Yang Dong-sheng ("Mr. Yang") has recently notified the Company of his resignation as a staff representative supervisor of the Company with effect from 25 March 2021 due to his personal work commitment. Mr. Yang will continue to serve as the dean of the Company's Product Planning and New Automotive Technology Research Institute.

Mr. Yang has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board and the supervisory committee of the Company, and there is no matter that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company in connection with his resignation.

The Board would like to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. Yang for his valuable contribution to the Company during his tenure.

APPOINTMENT OF NEW SUPERVISOR

The Board is pleased to announce that Ms. Tang Mei ("Ms. Tang") has been elected at the meeting of the staff of the Company held on 25 March 2021 as the new staff representative supervisor of the Company, with effect from 25 March 2021 until the expiry of the seventh session of the supervisory committee .

Ms. Tang, aged 38, is a Chinese national with no right of abode overseas and a bachelor's degree holder. Ms. Tang graduated from Central South University (中南大學) in 2005, with a bachelor's degree in English. Ms. Tang joined the Company in 2005 and held positions as secretary of the president, a manager in Cultural Propaganda Department of the Group, amanager in reception center of the Group, executive officer of BYD Charity Foundation. She is currently the vice officer of the President's office.

As at the date hereof, Ms. Tang does not (i) hold any directorships in any public companies, the securities of which are listed on any securities market in Hong Kong or overseas in the last three years; (ii) have any relationship with any directors, senior management or substantial or controlling shareholders of the Company; and (iii) have any other interest in the shares or underlying shares of the Company within the meaning of Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Ms. Tang will enter into a service contract with the Company to serve as a staff representative supervisor of the Company effect from 25 March 2021 until the expiry of the seventh session of the supervisory committee. As a staff representative supervisor, Ms. Tang is not entitled to any emolument.

Save as disclosed above, there is no other information relating to the proposed appointment of Ms. Tang as the staff representative supervisor of the Company which shall be disclosed pursuant to rules 13.51(2)(h) to 13.51(2)(v) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and there are no other matters that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to welcome Ms. Tang for joining the supervisory committee of the Company.
