Aug 30 (Reuters) -

British motor and home insurer Direct Line Insurance Group on Wednesday named Adam Winslow, a senior executive at Aviva, as its new CEO.

Winslow, who is currently CEO of UK & Irelands General Insurance at the FTSE 100-listed insurer, will join Direct Line in the first quarter of 2024.

Winslow's appointment comes after Penny James, Direct Line's CEO of nearly four years, stepped down in January and its Chief Commercial Officer Jon Greenwood was appointed the acting CEO. (Reporting by Sinchita Mitra and Eva Mathews in Bengaluru; Editing by Varun H K)
