Arion banki hf. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported net interest income was ISK 11,426 million compared to ISK 9,745 million a year ago. Net income was ISK 7,082 million compared to ISK 10,043 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was ISK 4.84 compared to ISK 2.15 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was ISK 4.57 compared to ISK 2.04 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was ISK 4.84 compared to ISK 6.7 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was ISK 4.58 compared to ISK 6.37 a year ago.
For the six months, net interest income was ISK 22,420 million compared to ISK 19,221 million a year ago. Net income was ISK 13,366 million compared to ISK 15,972 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was ISK 9.16 compared to ISK 6.04 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was ISK 8.66 compared to ISK 5.71 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was ISK 9.17 compared to ISK 10.65 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was ISK 8.67 compared to ISK 10.08 a year ago.
