Western Asset Municipal High Income Fund Inc. is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to seek high current income exempt from federal income taxes. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in intermediate-and long-term municipal debt securities issued by state and local governments (municipal obligations). However, the Fund may invest in municipal obligations of any maturity. The Fund may invest up to 100% of its assets in municipal obligations rated below investment grade (junk bonds). The Fund's portfolio of investments includes transportation, industrial, healthcare, leasing, water and sewer, special tax, local general obligation, education, other, and cash and cash equivalents.
