Volkswagen AG announced that it is launching its Ameo compact sedan at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. This model is specifically designed for the Indian market. It will be produced at the automaker's Chakan facility in Maharashtra and will be targeted somewhere below the Rapid.
The model will borrow the Polo's platform, design cues and engines.
