Vestas has secured four orders totaling 320MW in North and South America from clients including Avangrid Renewables and EDF EN do Brasil. EDF placed a firm an unconditional order for the 117 MW Ventos da Bahia, phase 2 project to be constructed in the north eastern state of Bahia. Under the deal, Vestas will supply and install 53 V110 2MW turbines that will be manufactured in Brazil. The deal includes a 15-year full scope active output management (AOM) 4000 service contract. Delivery is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2018, with commissioning anticipated for the third quarter of 2018. Once finalised, the wind park will take Vestas' installed capacity in Bahia to 700MW. Vestas has also secured a firm an unconditional order for a further 21 V110 2MW units for the Cabe §o Vermelho I and Cabe §o Vermelho II wind farms in Rio Grande do Norte from Gestamp Eólica Brasil. The deal requires the Danish firm to deliver and install the turbines, which will be produced in Brazil. It also includes a 10-year full-scope AOM 4000 service agreement. Vesats plans to deliver the turbines in the fourth quarter of 2017, while commissioning is expected in the second quarter of 2018. In the US, Avangridordered3MW turbines totaling 30MW in a deal which includes commissioning. Vestas also won a firm and unconditional order totaling 131MW for V1123.45MW turbines for an unnamed customer in the US.
