Veolia has passed the 2 GW mark in managed flexible electrical energy, equivalent to the production of two nuclear reactors or the consumption of 2 million inhabitants.
This production is based on a portfolio of nearly 10,000 managed sites across Europe and a variety of industrial customers (VPK, Thy Marcinelle, Beneo Orafti, Aquiris, Veolia Water, Orange, Inovyn Ineos etc.).
To meet the challenges of the energy crisis and the integration of the intermittency of renewable energies, Veolia's ambition is to accelerate this dynamic and reach 3GW of flexible power by 2030.
According to the IEA, by 2030, the need for flexible assets will increase tenfold worldwide, due to growth in Europe (over 500 GW of photovoltaic and wind power).
' By leveraging Veolia's industrial expertise, we are able to provide effective solutions to strengthen the resilience of our customers' power systems,' said Estelle Brachlianoff, CEO of Veolia.
