Société Générale shareholders voted 98.74% in favor of appointing Slawomir Krupa, 48, to the bank's Board of Directors.

The newly-formed Board of Directors is due to meet after the AGM to formally appoint Slawomir Krupa as Chief Executive Officer.

The new executive, who spent most of his career at Société Générale, where he most recently headed the investment bank, succeeds Frédéric Oudéa, who held the post for 15 years.
