Thanks to a commitment that spans over three years , Snam's Workplace Health Promotion has involved thousands of employees. Since 2014, the Group joined the initiative promoted by Regione Lombardia, which consists of a course of good practices to be addressed with the scientific support of local health agencies (ASL) and aiming at improving people's lives. During the three years many initiatives have been developed to promote a series of good practices focused in particular on six thematic areas: healthy eating, personal and social well-being, physical activity, road safety and sustainable mobility, measures to reduce tobacco consumption and to discourage alcohol and drug use. Coherent with Snam's values, the initiative relies on the idea that it is easier to change habits and correct bad practices if supported by professionals, which hints the right way.

Snam's initiative has been awarded during the conference '+ WHP X Multiply Health - Health promotion in the workplace' organized by the ATS Milan - Agency for the protection of health - at the headquarters of Assolombarda on 17 January. In front of an audience representing about 120 companies, the 'Workplace that promotes health' certificate has been conferred. During the ceremony Snam also illustrated the role and activity of the competent doctor within the project. Additionally Snam showed some in-depth about the WHP programme: training meetings aimed at highlighting the link between a healthy diet and the prevention of chronic diseases, the collaboration with the LILT (a prominent Italian organization that promotes prevention and good practices to fight cancer) for a smoking cessation path reserved for employees and the e-learning course for inform about the damage that alcohol can cause.

By joining the Health Promotion Workplace, Snam confirms its vision in which people are placed at the center of the company's project.
