SIGMAKOKI Co., Ltd. announced consolidated financial results for three months ended August 31, 2017. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 2,056 million against JPY 1,800 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 307 million against JPY 196 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 228 million against JPY 134 million a year ago. Net income per share of common stock were JPY 30.35 against JPY 17.85 a year ago.
The company provided financial guidance for the second quarter and fiscal year ending May 31, 2018. For the quarter, the company expected net sales of JPY 3,970 million. Operating income of JPY 425 million. Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 310 million. Net income per share of common stock of JPY 41.15.
For the full year, the company expected net sales of JPY 8,205 million. Operating income of JPY 960 million. Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 690 million. Net income per share of common stock of JPY 91.60.
SIGMA KOKI CO., LTD. is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of optical equipment and devices. The Company has two business segments. The Elemental Component segment manufactures and sells basic optical equipment, including stages, holders and base parts; automatic applied products, such as automatic alignment and attitude determining units, optical measurement and control units, and measurement and control software, as well as optical element and film products, such as multi-element optics, mirrors, beam splitters, filters, lenses, prisms, polarizers, circuit boards and windows. The System Product segment offers optical system products, such as lens units, laser processing systems, laser application products, micromanipulation systems, XY automatic systems for microscope, as well as commissioned custom products, among others.
