FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Shares in Siemens Energy were among the biggest Dax losers on Monday, falling 1.3 percent after new negative headlines about the company's wind power division. They also threatened to slip below the 21-day line, which is considered a short-term trend indicator. The share price drop of more than eleven percent since the beginning of the year means the last place in the German leading index for this period.

In connection with defects in a new wind turbine of the energy company, there may be delivery delays. The company is trying to postpone the delivery of new land turbines of this class by up to seven months, reports the news agency Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the situation. Meanwhile, the investigation into the cause continues.

A key part of the investigation is to determine whether the problems stem more from the parts supplied or the design. Should hidden design flaws be discovered, the repair costs could rise to more than the previously known sum of over one billion euros./gl/jha/
