SGS is pleased to announce that it has entered into final negotiations to acquire Compliance Certification Services Inc. (CCSrf), Taiwan.

Based in Taipei, CCSrf is one of Greater China's leading Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing laboratories, with operations throughout Taiwan and in China. With seven laboratories, CCSrf carries out performance testing and certification in the field of EMC, radiofrequency, safety and automotive EMC, as well as other aspects of technology, for computer manufacturers and network appliance providers.

Founded in 1989, CCSrf employs more than 300 staff and generated 2015 revenues of approximately TWD 800 million.

The transaction is subject to several closing conditions, principally the approval of the Investment Commission of the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, and is expected to close within the next two months.

'This acquisition will strengthen our presence in the EMC, safety, wireless and component certification market,' said Frankie Ng, CEO of SGS. 'It will also help us to provide greater geographical coverage for our clients.'
