Kavita Patel to Join SelectQuote to the Board as an Independent Director

SelectQuote, Inc. announced that Dr. Kavita Patel, M.D., will join the company’s Board as an independent director effective immediately. Patel brings deep and varied experience in public health and policy, having worked on healthcare reform under President Barack Obama and serving as a Scholar at the Brookings Institution, one of the nation’s premier research groups. Dr. Patel has also served as deputy director on health to the late Senator Edward Kennedy. In addition to her health policy work, she is also a practicing primary care physician at Mary’s Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Washington D.C. Dr. Patel will succeed Donald “Butch” Britton, who is retiring from the Board after six years of service, five of which were as Chair of the Compensation Committee.

The Company operates through four business lines, which include SelectQuote Senior, which provides shopping platform for Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement insurance plans as well as prescription drug and dental, vision, and hearing plans, and critical illness products; SelectQuote Healthcare Services, which is comprised of the SelectRx Pharmacy, a specialized medication management pharmacy; SelectQuote Life segment that provides shopping platform for life insurance products such as term life, final expense, and other ancillary products like critical illness, accidental death, and juvenile insurance, and SelectQuote Auto & Home segment provides shopping platform for auto, home, and specialty insurance lines, as well as insurance products such as homeowners, auto, dwelling fire, and other ancillary insurance products.
