For the second consecutive year, Repsol is recognised as Sector Leader and is named a "Gold Class" company for the sixth successive year.

Repsol leads the ranking in the 'Oil & Gas Producers' sector for the second consecutive year and is the only company in the sector to be named a Gold Class company.
Repsol has been acknowledged for its ability to sustain long-term value creation and access to responsible and sustainable next-generation energy resources.
The company has been awarded top marks for transparency, risk and crisis management, cleaner fuels, climate strategy, environmental management policy system, human capital development and its social impact on communities.
The "Sustainability Yearbook" analyses the sustainability performance of 58 industrial sectors and more than 3,000 companies across the world. Only 67 companies of the evaluated total have received the "Gold Class" rating.
Repsol is included in some of the most renowned global sustainability indexes, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World (DJSI World) and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe (DJSI Europe).

Repsol has been rated as Leader in its sector for the second consecutive year, and has been named a "Gold Class" company for the sixth successive year in "The Sustainability Yearbook 2013" published by RobecoSAM, the investment specialist focused exclusively on Sustainability Investing, in collaboration with KPMG.
The Sustainability Yearbook analyses the sustainability performance of companies across the world. This year, Repsol is the only company from the Oil & Gas Producers sector to receive the "Gold Class" rating, acknowledging its ability to sustain long-term value creation and access to next-generation energy resources.
The company is also sector leader, receiving top marks for transparency, risk and crisis management, cleaner fuels, climate strategy, environmental management policy system, human capital development and social impact on communities.
The "Sustainability Yearbook 2013" analyses the sustainability practices of more than 3,000 companies across 58 sectors, examining the performance of companies according to economic, environmental and social criteria, bearing in mind those included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). RobecoSAM has carried out the report for over ten years, and it is one of the most prestigious and highly valued in the world in terms of sustainability. This year, only 67 companies have been awarded the "Gold class" rating, which is 2.5% of all assessed companies.
Repsol is included in the most renowned global sustainability indexes, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World (DJSI World) and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe (DJSI Europe). The company has always been rated as one of the best companies in its sector in various rankings and sustainability studies. This recognition reflects the company's efforts to improve on its performance and shows the commitment of managers and employees to maintain the company in a leading position and make it a benchmark in transparency and corporate responsibility.
Repsol S.A. is one of the largest oil and gas groups in Spain. The activity is organized into four sectors:
- refining and distribution (No. 1 in Spain): 42.1 million tons of crude oil refined in 2022 and 25.5 million tons of oil products sold (kerosene, gasoline, fuel oil, gas liquefied petroleum gas, etc.). At the end of 2022, the group operated 6 refineries located in Spain (5) and Peru and a network of 4,651 service stations located in Spain (3,304), Peru (567), Portugal (515) and Mexico (265). Repsol S.A. also sells lubricants, aviation fuels, bitumen and specialty products (7,261 Kt sold in 2022), liquefied petroleum gas (1,207 Kt sold) and petrochemicals (2.5 Mt of products sold);
- production of electricity and distribution of natural gas: 8,734 Gwh of electricity generated from renewables energy and 1,650 Gwh of gas sold in 2022;
- liquefaction, transportation and regasification of natural gas;
- exploration and production of oil and natural gas: 550,000 barrels of hydrocarbons produced per day in 2022.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Spain (57.9%), Peru (7.2%), the United States (5.7%), Portugal (4.6%), and other (24.6%).
