Repsol has been rated as Leader in its sector for the second consecutive year, and has been named a "Gold Class" company for the sixth successive year in "The Sustainability Yearbook 2013" published by RobecoSAM, the investment specialist focused exclusively on Sustainability Investing, in collaboration with KPMG.

The Sustainability Yearbook analyses the sustainability performance of companies across the world. This year, Repsol is the only company from the Oil & Gas Producers sector to receive the "Gold Class" rating, acknowledging its ability to sustain long-term value creation and access to next-generation energy resources.

The company is also sector leader, receiving top marks for transparency, risk and crisis management, cleaner fuels, climate strategy, environmental management policy system, human capital development and social impact on communities.

The "Sustainability Yearbook 2013" analyses the sustainability practices of more than 3,000 companies across 58 sectors, examining the performance of companies according to economic, environmental and social criteria, bearing in mind those included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). RobecoSAM has carried out the report for over ten years, and it is one of the most prestigious and highly valued in the world in terms of sustainability. This year, only 67 companies have been awarded the "Gold class" rating, which is 2.5% of all assessed companies.
