Renault SA has commenced the production of the Kwid 1.0 litre version in India. The model is to be launched at the upcoming Auto Expo 2016. The automaker has exported several units of Kwid equipped with the 1.0-litre engine to overseas markets, including some to Germany, indicating that the model has hit the assembly line.
The vehicle is to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Alto and Hyundai Eon.
