Renault has announced that it is recalling its Captur model to support an emissions problem with this vehicle. The recalibrated engine control unit has been used in dCi110 variants of this model since September 2015. However, around 15,000 of these variants that are currently on the road will also be rectified.

Renault has firmly denied that 700,000 of its passenger cars need a software update, saying, 'All Renault vehicles are fully compliant with current regulations.' However, it is planning to make changes that would bring a further improvement in nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions going forward.
