PURCHASE, N.Y. - May 22, 2017 - This summer Lipton is inspiring people to turn everyday ordinary meals into memorable Lipton meals through a partnership with Food Network Star and the series' co-host and mentor, chef Bobby Flay.
As part of the partnership, the brand is hosting Lipton Summer Camp, a unique summertime social event that will transform Herald Square Plaza in New York into a true summer camp experience. City fans will be able to recapture childhood memories when camp gates swing open on June 8, 2017. From 11 am to 3 pm, guests will be treated to a day of summer games and picnicking. Flay will also prepare delicious dishes starting at noon.
Lipton Summer Camp guests will also have the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime Food Network Star experience and dine with Flay this fall. Those who can't make the event can enter online starting today at www.LiptonMeal.com.
'At Lipton, we believe the difference between an ordinary meal and a memorable one is the combination of the right ingredients and great company, plus a bit of imagination,' said Bruno Cardinali, Marketing Director for Lipton North America. 'That's why we're encouraging people to come together this summer to let loose, get crafty and make memories with friends and family around delicious food and beverages.'
Flay will serve as grill-master at the event, cooking delicious summer dishes made with or paired with Lipton Iced Tea. Attendees can kick back and relax or hit the lawn for paddle ball and other childhood favorites. Additionally, three teams of volunteers will go head-to-head for a Showdown at the Grill, creating their own Lipton Iced-infused dish in the hopes of impressing 'Head Counselor' Bobby to earn the coveted title of the Summer Camp Star.
'Some of the most extraordinary moments in life can happen during mealtime - if you have the right ingredients,' said Flay. 'That's why I'm thrilled to partner with Lipton to bring imagination and creativity to the table with activities like Lipton Summer Camp.'
