Nippon Sharyo will lay off 100 employees from its Rochelle plant, according to 13 WREX. The company, which builds passenger rail cars that its decision was based on technical complications with the design of one of its prototype cars, as well as other business considerations. The reduction in force will affect 100 of the plant's 350 employees.
