Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits (MBWS) has reported a doubling of net income, group share, to 5.1 million euros for the first half of 2023, thanks to a favorable basis of comparison, as well as EBITDA of 8.1 million compared with 7.6 million a year earlier.

Sales, excluding excise duties, came to 98.8 million, up 14.3% (excluding currency effects), thanks mainly to higher sales in part of the international business, as well as the resilience of strategic brands in France.

"The effects of supply disruptions, with volume declines that began in the fourth quarter of 2022, were also felt in the first half of 2023, particularly in France", says the wine and spirits house.
