PERU, Illinois, January 27, 2023 - Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of Head Start Daycare and Brick Layers Local 6, a 6,281-square-foot retail property located in Peru, Illinois, according to Dave Saverin, regional manager of the firm's St. Louis office. The asset sold for $445,000.
The buyer, a private investor, was secured and represented by Alec Coronado, an investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap's St. Louis office. Steven Weinstock, Illinois Broker of Record, assisted in closing this transaction.
Head Start Daycare and Brick Layers Union Local 6 is located at 3691 Cougar Dr in Peru, Illinois. The transaction comprised of two units totaling 3,000 square feet. Brick Layers Union Local 6 is a long-time anchor tenant, along with Head Start Daycare Center under a recent new lease. The property is 100 percent occupied, sitting on 2.34 acres. The facility was constructed in 1980 and recently underwent renovations and has the option to be expanded.
