Business description: Malayan Banking

Malayan Banking Berhad is a Malaysia-based holding company engaged in providing financial products and services. Its segment includes Group Community Financial Service (CFS), Group Global Banking (GB), and Group Insurance and Takaful. The CFS segment includes Consumer Banking, which offers products and services offered to individuals, such as savings and fixed deposits, consumer loans, and others; Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) Banking, which offers products and services, such as long-term loans such as project financing, short-term credit such as overdrafts and trade financing; Business Banking, which offers products and services, such as fee-based services such as cash management and custodian services. The GB segment includes Group Corporate Banking and Global Markets, Group Investment Banking, and Group Asset Management. The Group Insurance and Takaful segment comprises underwriting all classes of general and life insurance business, general takaful, and family takaful businesses.
