Camden, Ark., November 7th, 2011 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] has awarded 25 employees from its Camden business unit with the corporation's highest recognition for individual and team achievements, the NOVA Award.

"The 2011 NOVA recipients exemplify the can-do spirit and uncompromising integrity our customers expect from us - and deserve," said Bob Stevens, Lockheed Martin's Chairman and CEO. "For that, we owe our NOVA honorees our gratitude. Those honored represent the 'best of the best' of our outstanding workforce."

The NOVA Award is presented annually to less than one percent of the corporation's worldwide employees for their outstanding contributions to the corporation's mission and business objectives. The Lockheed Martin NOVA Awards were created in 1995; the name "NOVA" aptly describes the contribution of the winners as the bright stars of the corporation.

Camden's Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile All Up Round II Team was selected for a 2011 team NOVA Award. The team provided outstanding support in the 13-month completion of the new, 72,000-square-foot PAC-3 All Up Round II production facility. The team collaborated with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the City of Camden through the Ouachita Partnership for Economic Development to maximize the corporation's participation in 10 federal, state and local statutory economic development programs while mitigating the performance risk related to the development and completion of the facility.

The Camden employees recognized are: Jerry Bever, Mark Bird, Dak Cheung, Robert Fairchild, Chris Fogle, Robert Foster, Kerry Hargis, Robin Hooks, Valerie Keaton, Brandon Kratzer, Ryan McChesney, Brian Minor, Andrew Olson, Matthew Phillips, Jayson Porter, Curtis Powell, Gordon Rogers, Justin Routon, David Schinz, Doyle Simpson, Kristy Spicer, Jared Stotts, David Swaty, Kendall Tran and Glenn David Woods.

Awards were presented to 2011 NOVA Award honorees on October 28 during a ceremony held at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
