LifeSafe Holdings signs deals as launches fluid for battery packs

(Alliance News) - LifeSafe Holdings PLC said it launched a pre-trauma fluid proven to prevent thermal runway fires in high voltage battery packs.

Further, the Essex, England-based fire safety technology developer said it signed two "significant" industrial partnerships, with Xerotech Ltd and Reacton Fire Suppression Ltd.

The partnership with Xerotech "will support the development and application methods for the deployment of LifeSafe's PTF and thermal runaway fluid to tackle battery overheating and support the cooling systems," LifeSafe said.

Meanwhile, the partnership with Reacton "will enable Reacton to sell the innovative PTF and TRF as part of its global fire safety solutions," LifeSafe added.

LifeSafe Chair Dominic Berger said: "Our partnership with Xerotech will take our new, unique and innovative fluids into a wide range of industrial sectors with an industry leader and innovator. This partnership unites highly effective fluids and battery engineering experts in supporting the growing demand of lithium-ion batteries across multiple sectors."

He added: "In combination with the recently announced distribution relationship with Wormald in Australia these new partnerships open a new significant chapter in the international growth of LifeSafe as we look forward to 2024."

LifeSafe shares rose 6.8% to 20.30 pence each on Thursday afternoon in London.

LifeSafe Holdings PLC is a United Kingdom-based fire safety technology company. The Company has developed eco-friendly fire safety protection products to protect against fire (via its fire extinguishers) as well as to detect fires (via its carbon monoxide, smoke, and heat alarms). The Company has developed FER1000 extinguishing fluid, which is developed to extinguish five different types of fire: electrical, paper, textiles, cooking oil, and petrol and diesel. Its products include StaySafe 5-in-1 fire extinguisher, PanSafe fire extinguisher, StaySafe carbon monoxide detector, StaySafe heat detector, and StaySafe smoke detector. The StaySafe 5-in-1 fire extinguisher is a lightweight, fully recyclable PET aerosol fire bottle, containing the Companyâs FER1000 extinguishing fluid. The StaySafe PanSafe is a sachet containing the PAN 3000 variant of the FER1000 fluid targeted specifically at cooking oil fires. The StaySafe smoke detector designed to provide an early warning of a fire.
