Komatsu : to Provide Support for People Affected by Typhoon Hagibis in Japan (October 2019)

We hereby extend our sincere condolences to the people affected by Typhoon Hagibis in Japan.
Komatsu Ltd. (President and CEO: Hiroyuki Ogawa) will provide support for recovery in the amount equivalent to JPY10 million through measures including the following:
Contents of Support:
(1)Lending construction and other equipment free of charge
(2)Using drones for 3D measurement of rivers destructed by the typhoon
(3)Cash donations, etc
We sincerely hope for hastened recovery of the damaged areas.
Concerning effects on the Komatsu Group, we confirmed the safety of all employees of the Group as of October 17.
We anticipate no substantial impact on our production, sales and service operations.

Komatsu Ltd. specializes in manufacturing and marketing of construction and mining operating materials. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- construction and mining operating materials (91.3%): hydraulic excavators, backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, graders, crawler excavators, forklifts, tunneling, bulldozers, forest tractors, etc.;
- other (6.6%): primarily industrial machines (grinders, press brakes, temperature control equipments, etc.).
The remaining sales (2.1%) are from financing activities.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Japan (13.9%), China (4.7%), Asia and Oceania (21.4%), Americas (37.5%), Europe and CIS (15.7%), Africa and Middle East (6.8%).
