Imuraya Group Co., Ltd. (TSE:2209) agreed to acquire remaining 10% stake in Kyo-Nichi Imuraya Foods Co., Ltd. on September 17, 2021. Post completion, Imuraya Group Co., Ltd. will hold 100% stake in Kyo-Nichi Imuraya Foods Co., Ltd. The transaction was resolved by the board of directors of Imuraya Group Co., Ltd. on September 17, 2021. The conclusion of equity transfer agreement is planned in September 2021 and transaction is expected to close in October 2021. Beijing Kyohi Muraya Foods Co., Ltd. is already a consolidated subsidiary of the Imuraya Group Co., Ltd., its impact on the Imuraya Group Co., Ltd. consolidated business results will be minor.
Imuraya Group Co Ltd is a Japan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of confectioneries, foods, and seasonings. The Company operates in two business segments. The Distribution segment is involved in the manufacture and sale of confectioneries, foods, daily chilled, dim sum, delicatessen, alcoholic drinks, frozen desserts and sweets. The Company provides services utilizing the brands of the restaurants Anna Miller's and JOUVAUD in the sweets category. The Seasoning segment is involved in the manufacture of natural seasonings, nutritional foods, fermented seasonings, and liquid seasonings. The Company also conducts the leasing agency business, the management business for rental housing Ville Grandir, and the real estate leasing business utilizing its own lands.
