Hwa Fong Rubber Ind. Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 950.401 million compared to TWD 1,274.737 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 83.093 million compared to TWD 130.178 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 29.873 million compared to TWD 890,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.09. For the half year, sales was TWD 2,118.786 million compared to TWD 2,496.171 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 185.261 million compared to TWD 151.754 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 76.497 million compared to TWD 5.706 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.23 compared to TWD 0.02 a year ago.
Hwa Fong Rubber Ind Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture, processing, distribution and trading of tires and other rubber products. The Company provides bicycle tires, agricultural and industrial tires, motorcycle tires, truck tires, automobile tires, radial tires and other rubber products. Its tire products are applied in sedans, recreational and leisure vehicles, heavy trucks, trailers, grass mowers, forklifts, as well as bicycles and monocycles. The Company distributes its products in Taiwan market and to Mainland China, the Americas, Thailand and other markets.
