Hosken Consolidated Investments Limited provided earnings guidance for the six months ended 30 September 2017. The company will report basic earnings per share of between 640.6 cents and 678.1 cents, being an increase of between 71.0% and 81.0% as compared to basic earnings per share of 374.6 cents for the prior comparative period, and headline earnings per share of between 589.0 cents and 646.2 cents, being an increase of between 3.0% and 13.0% as compared to headline earnings per share of 571.8 cents for the prior comparative period. The increase in basic earnings per share is mainly as a result of consolidated losses on disposal of certain subsidiaries and the impairment of assets in anticipation of disposal of a subsidiary operation recognized during the prior comparative period which did not recur in the current period. The financial results for the current reporting period will be more than 20% different than that of the previous corresponding period.
