PlayMonster Enters Strategic Partnership with Hasbro's Beloved Playskool Brands to Engage the Next Generation of Toddlers and Grow the Preschool Category

PlayMonster announced that it has expanded its partnership with Hasbro by entering into a deal with Playskool, that will see PlayMonster strategically grow its preschool category in 2022 and beyond. Both companies will work together to expand and broaden the iconic Playskool brand, bringing new ways to learn and play within the Playskool portfolio, while reimagining Playskool's most beloved, nostalgic brands to engage millennial parents and a new generation of kids. Pillar brands will include Playskool Weebles, remembered for their iconic wobble which has delighted generations of children through relatable themes, kinetic action, and humor-based play; Playskool Glo Friends, a community of adorable, tiny, glow-in-the-dark bugs that illuminate a child's world from morning to night; Playskool Little Wonders, beautiful sensory playsets made from sustainable wood, and infused with pops of color and engaging delights like lights, sounds and music; and The Original MagnaTab, a Montessori-learning, sensory-based drawing tablet that uses magnets and a stylus to teach letters, shapes and numbers, with the possibility to free-draw whatever a child can imagine.
Hasbro, Inc. specializes in the design, production and marketing of games and toys. Additionally, the group is active in the production of films and TV programs. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- sales of toys and games (89.3%): action figurines and toys, dolls and stuffed toys, traditional toys, electronic toys and games, creative and educational toys and games, card games, etc. sold under franchise brands (Littlest Pet Shop, Magic : The Gathering, Monopoly, My Little Pony, Nerf, Play-Doh and Transformers), under partner brands (Spider-Man, The Avengers, Star Wars, Disney Princess, Disney Frozen, Disney's Descendants, Beyblade, Dreamworks' Trolls, Sesame Street and Yo-Kai Watch), under company-owned brands (Baby Alive, Furreal Friends, Kre-o, Playskool and Playskool Heroes) and other (board games and digital games sold under Dungeons & Dragons, Jenga, The Game Of Life, Operation, Pie Face, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Twister, Fantastic Gymnastics, Speak Out and Toilet Trouble;
- production and sales of film, TV and digital games licenses (10.7%).
The United States account for 60.2% of net sales.
