General Electric is cutting 35 jobs in Schenectady, New York, and 41 jobs total across its clean energy business called "Current, powered by GE." GE filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN, notice on Friday with the New York labor department, listing the economy as the reason for the job cuts in Schenectady. A layoff date is scheduled for April 12 to give employees time to find other jobs within GE.
