Fincantieri and Crystal have signed a memorandum of understanding to build two high-end, state-of-the-art cruise ships, with an option for a third unit.

The new ships will have a gross tonnage of 61,800 tons and will be able to accommodate about 690 passengers, says a note that does not give financial details about the agreement, limiting itself to calling the value "significant," which in Fincantieri's case corresponds to between 1 and 2 billion euros.

Delivery of the first ship is scheduled for spring 2028.
