HAMBURG (dpa-AFX) - Pharmaceutical drug discovery company Evotec, still reeling from the aftermath of a cyber attack, plans to publish its annual report in mid-May. This should then also meet the criteria for a return to the Deutsche Borse Dax family, the company announced on Friday.

Evotec had reported a cyberattack in early April, as a result of which the publication of its fully audited annual report for 2022 had to be postponed, although preliminary results were already known. As a result of this delay in the publication of the audited annual report, Evotec has to leave the mid-cap index, MDax, with effect from this Tuesday. This was announced by the index provider Stoxx on Thursday evening.

As a result, Evotec shares came under heavy pressure on Friday, but recently recovered and reduced their losses to three and a half percent.

Evotec is in close contact with the official regulatory authorities and has received their assurance for the publication of the annual report, which was postponed due to the cyber attack, the Hamburg-based group continued to say at the end of the week./mis/jha/
