EDP completes asset rotation deal of transmission lines in Brazil
Lisbon, December 28th, 2021:EDP - Energias do Brasil, S.A. ("EDP Energias do Brasil" or "Company"), 55.71% held by EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A., has concluded the disposal to Actis Assessoria Investimentos Ltda ("Actis") of 100% of equity stakes in Transmissão S.A. ("Lote 24"), EDP Maranhão I S.A. ("Lote 7") and EDP Maranhão II S.A. ("Lote 11"). The three transmission assets are 439 km of length and R$131 million in RAP.
The final value of the transaction corresponds to an Enterprise Value of R$ 1,329 million (€ 210 million, considering a EUR/BRL exchange rate of 6.33), subject to any other post-closing adjustments and obligations common to this type of transaction.
The disposal of transmission companies takes place in conjunction with the acquisition of Celg-T shares on October 14th of this year and follows the strategic orientation of EDP's business plan.
This information is disclosed pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of the article 17 of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council and of article 248-A of the Portuguese Securities code.
